Yellow Bittern (Ixobrychus sinensis)

Baan Maka Nature Lodge, 06-11-2023. I found this bird while talking awalk around the area, it stayed in the reed beds for a few minutes before relocating to another spot, still visible however. It would let me get quite close, with only some water between us. A really nice lifer!
Funny thing, I've seen and photographed the yellow bittern in Thailand and the least bittern in Mexico. Yet I've never seen a little bittern in the wild although it occurs in my home country. I did see the great bittern once though.
