Yellow-footed Tortoise (Chelonoidis denticulatus)

Adult female, in the company of 2 redfoots.

There is reportedly a variety of yellowfoots from the Peruvian sector of the Amazon basin, that can attain sizes corresponding similarly with smaller tortoises from the Galápagos.

A lone specimen at the St Louis Zoo in the States, is apparently an member of this mysterious geographic variety.
