I highly recommend using scientific names, especially for animals that do not have an official English one. Yellowbarred stingfish is a translation for Sebastiscus albofasciatus I'm guessing?

Thanks! Yes, you're right. It's Sebastiscus albofasciatus.

Sorry, I just tend to upload my photos from my phone with minimum information, and edit it a few minutes later from my PC and add the details.
 
No need to apologise! Your photos of elusive species in Japan are a great contribution to Zoochat. Scientific names could just make things more clear, especially since the Japanese endemics are not familiar to people from the West.
During my 5-week trip through the country, I took thousands of pictures as well. You might come across a few on here.

There is a thread called Adding New Species to the Gallery! on Zoochat. Perhaps you could show some more of your animals there? The point is to create a wild diversity of species, so pictures of species that have not been uploading by anyone are more than welcome!
