They had 4 of them, 2 in this enclosure and 2 in the other one, although the sign says that they are Mazama americana, i managed to speak with the animal curator and he explined that the specie was before considered a sub-specie, so that it the reason for the sign.

I am not certain if these are yucatan brockets. Xcaret also had the yucatan subspecies of white tail deer. Let us see what other zoochaters think.
 
Yes, they had the white tailed deer just in front of them, but this is certainly a Mazama deer, not an Odocoileus one, as I wrote before i managed to speak with the animal curator from Xcaret, and he explained me that all 4 individuals were the yucatan brocket deer.
 
How did Xcaret source their Yucatan brown brockets (Mazama pandora) and Yucatan white tailed deer (Odocoileus virginianus yucatanensis) ? and how long did Xcaret have them ?
