Zebra Dove and White-eye

In Malayan Woods there is one Zebra Dove remaining and a White-eye that has been alone for a long time.
Friday I saw the White-eye fly up to where the dove was settling down and edge it over to make room. Then they both prepared for a nap. Unfortunately a group of kids came in and the White-eye went to a more secluded spot. It would have been so good to catch the two napping up against each other.

I love this picture! It's great that you were able to get both of these species in one photo, especially since they can be difficult to see them in their exhibit.

I still don't understand why the white eye is in the Malayan Woods pavilion though, since it is an African species. It would probably fit in well in the royal starling exhibit in the African Rainforest Pavilion.

Some time ago I mentioned to two keepers, separately, about the location of the White-eye but it is still in Malayan Woods.
It disappears when more than one or two people are present so I think the exhibit you suggest would be too exposed, but maybe the former Fairy Bluebird cage where there is so much privacy we wouldn't see it!
What I would really like to see is free-flying in the area with the catfish pond.

Thanks for the compliment, arcticwolf.
