ZOO Antwerpen - Birds of Prey Aviaries (Caracara)

A crested caracara (Caracara plancus) in ZOO Antwerpen. The smaller Bird of Prey Aviaries are easily the dullest and worst functioning exhibits in the zoo.

The Bird of Prey aviaries that were originally built as part of the Jubilee Complex which opened in 1968 to celebrate the zoo’s 125th anniversary (also including the Nocturama, Aquaforum and Carnivore exhibits).
