The exhibits for rabbits (Oryctolagus cuniculus f. domestica) and parma wallabies (Macropus parma) in ZOO Antwerpen. These exhibits are located in the new extension area that opened in 2010 and can both be seen from the public road.
So the zoo bulldozed a portion of the residential area to build exhibits for rabbits and wallabies? Is this area also near the relatively new enclosures for okapis, babirusas and tortoises?

There are two new extension areas on either side of the resturant in the zoo. On one side are babirusas and okapis and on the other are wallabies, rabbits and tortoises. I think that these exhibits may be temporary though and the plan is to create larger exhibits for animals such as giraffes, zebras and elephants in the future.
You are right, Toddy. The new areas will be in the future part of the new enclosures for elephants, giraffes, great apes, etc.
The first real new enclosure will be build next year by the old Rhino House and the new area around. The Cape Buffalo's will move in the new enclosure.
