ZOO Antwerpen - Extention Area (Babirusa/okapi)

The extension area with exhibits for Sulawesi babirusas (Babyrousa babyrussa celebensis), okapis (Okapia johnstoni) and kirk’s dik-diks (Madoqua kirkii) by the Okapi Breeding Centre in ZOO Antwerpen. ZOO Antwerpen have over the last few years been buying land on the borders of the zoo and tearing down buildings for new exhibits. A costly but necessary move. The extension area for babirusas, okapis and dik-diks opened in 2009.
