Part of the outdoor exhibit for common hippopotamus (Hippopotamus amphibius) in the Hippotopia theme in ZOO Antwerpen. This picture shows about 80% of the total exhibit of which about 90% is water. While the exhibit has no underwater viewing it is still a great exhibit and a brilliant place to observe hippos in a very pleasant environment.
Hippotopia opened in 2006 and is one of the newest themes in the zoo housing various wetland creatures.
