ZOO Antwerpen - Nocturama (Slender loris)

One of the two exhibits for northern dry zone slender loris (Loris lydekkerianus nordicus) inside the Nocturama in ZOO Antwerpen. Only four European zoos keep this species and ZOO Antwerpen breeds this species regularly.

The Nocturama is the zoos nocturnal house and was originally built as part of the Jubilee Complex which opened in 1968 to celebrate the zoo’s 125th anniversary (also including the Bird of Prey Aviaries, Aquaforum and Carnivore exhibits). It was later given a renovation and facelift in 2006.
