There are more orangutans at Zoo Atlanta (11 of them) than at any other zoo in North America, and together with the more than 20 gorillas this zoo is a fantastic place to see great apes. The two orang exhibits are decent in size and scope, but they make it difficult for zoo visitors to view the apes as the climbing structures are strategically placed quite a distance from the pathway.
