Zoo Map - 2010

This map was a bit of a jumble but I loved it at the time and I still rather do - it looks so full of fun things! And it has the moose.

Crikey is it a busy one though.

I didn't know Whipsnade held gentoo penguins, what's the story behind those?

@Fallax some of the long time regulars with encyclopaedic memories like Panthera or Tim or AJC etc will know more than me but I think they were there in around 2009 or so and on but I don’t recall when they left. There’s a few shots in the gallery of them too.

@Fallax Sadly they got picked off quite quickly by the local fox population - one reason why the pools are now enclosed!

@Panthera1981 I remember a few comments about the netting recently spoiling the view and hearing a keeper say ‘well the penguins are going to be alive to enjoy what’s left of it’ hehe that was more bird flu related but it did make me chuckle.

Do like these maps and appreciate snow leopard uploading them - brings lots of interesting memories!
