Sorry, my oversight. It is acrylic tunnel going through the sea lions' pool.
Speaking about polar bears, actually there are two (or perhaps even three?) polar bear enclosures and between them is the dark grotto for the visitors with the underwater viewing windows to polar bear pool. So there is a chance to see polar bears under water as well.
