Craig Billington

I grew up and currently live in Brookfield, IL. I grew up loving to go to any zoo particularly the Brookfield Zoo and would go there often. This instilled in me a love for animals and nature. So I studied biology at Wheaton College with the intent on becoming a wildlife biologist. For the completion of my bachelors degree I did an internship at the Brookfield Zoo. I then went on to work there as a seasonal keeper in the hoof stock department in 1996. I eventually went to graduate school at the University of Arizona and got a masters degree in wildlife biology. Since 2012 I have worked as an ecologist with the Forest Preserves of Cook County. I have been a member of the Brookfield Zoo since junior high.
