Paradise Wildlife Park Hertfordshire Zoo News 2025

Does anyone know where the sengis are being displayed at the collection? (Annoyingly the press release doesn't state any location) I'm guessing it's either in the Rainforest or Amazon & Beyond houses.

Also noted the map says a new project is coming in 2026, located where the crazy golf used to be, if my memory is correct. Any news on what this might be?

A new red panda has arrived at Hertfordshire zoo:

"There's a NEW red panda in town!

Say hello to Nila, a young female red panda who has recently joined us from a zoo in Europe as part of the European Breeding Programme, an important initiative that helps protect endangered species and secure their future for generations to come.

With Nila’s arrival, we’re thrilled to continue our long-standing commitment to red panda conservation and breeding. As Nila and Ash form a new breeding pair, we can’t wait to see what the next chapter of our red panda story brings! "

When I visited a couple of years ago they had lots of impressive art work up depicting their new Madagascar lemur walkthrough, which was quickly shelved for what is now their sheep and goat walkthrough!

Last month kyra the female Sun Bear was found to have ovarian cysts which was probably the cause of her to be unable to conceive even though she had been with her mate Idera since April 2023. On Wednesday she underwent a new procedure by specialist German vets and successfully removed the cysts. She has fully recovered and time will tell if it was successful.
