Just came across tis soon-to-be-released book on Amazon which maybe of interest: Fur, Fins, and Feathers: Abraham Dee Bartlett and the Invention of the Modern Zoo It sounds like a really nice book, and if the cover artwork is anything to go by, the illustrations will be gorgeous :D
