Didn't quite know whereabouts to put this poll but I thought I was curious to see which is the most people's favourites of the five animals and what better place to ask than here!
Hello everyone,
I am currently on the road and am thinking of stopping in at the African Safari Wildlife Park in Port Clinton. Has anyone ever visited? Their website (Home of African Safari Wildlife Park) has some basic info, but few details - especially on what species they have. They are...
I was at pafos zoo last Tuesday. They are were heavily advertising locally they are expecting elephants any day. All images suggested Africans were on the agenda but the on sign on the rather small enclosure said Asian?
Does anyone have any further information on the expected elephants. :)
African tigerfish have been filmed catching swallows in flight by scientists.
The behaviour was filmed at Schroda Dam, a man-made lake in Limpopo Province, South Africa.

The huge main cheetah enclosure. Absolutely the best I have seen. Once or twice a day you can see the cheetahs chasing a peace of meat dragged along a long wire. A spectacular sight! This enclosure really imitates the african savannah great.

View of the enclosures that link the African Village and the savannah in Aalborg Zoo, Denmark. On this picture you can see the central building to the left, an observation-hut for visitors on the right and the tropical house for pygmy hippopotamus in the background.

The stable for scimitar-horned oryx in the African Village in Aalborg Zoo, Denmark. Also in this building are stables for grevy's zebra, greater kudu and warthog. These are som of the absolute best savannah stables I have seen.

A pygmy hippopotamus in the African Village in Aalborg Zoo, Denmark. The African Village is one of the best themes in any zoo I have seen. The hippoes can be viewed both above and under water.

The tropical house in the African Village in Aalborg Zoo, Denmark. The African Village is one of the best themes in any zoo I have seen. The tropical house is used as an indoor enclosure for pygmy hippopotamus and spurred tortoise. The hippoes can be viewed both above and under water.

Part of the outdoor enclosure for african elephants at Halle Zoo. Quite a nice enclosure actually. Spacious and with trees growing in it (protected by large wooden poles).
