A photograph dated to 11 June 2006 of the Bactrian Camel, during the period where they replaced the Elephants at the Casson Pavillion (aka the Cassons). Found this on my old Windows XP hard drive after I finally got it out of the PC. Taken on a PENTAX Optio S6, originally 2816 x 2112 resolution.

One of the old elephant 'grottos' filled with a complex of small enclosures, recently emptied of birds rehomed in the new Blackburn pavilion, this area was blocked off and empty of animals. One of the equivalent former rhino stalls was modified in this way, again empty and blocked off.

The old Elephant and Rhino house at London Zoo. It now contains Bearded Pigs, Camels and Pygmy Hippos.
