In 2013, the ZOO's swamp exhibit called 'Hippotopia' was re-opened after renovations. The coypu enclosure was new at that time. The original inhabitants were nine coypus, but their numbers have grown since then. Now they have stopped breeding. It is a nice enclosure, but nothing special

These enclosures were built in the 1950s and were demolished in 1996 when the condor aviary was built. The wall at teh rear was part of the Kamchatka bear enclosure and the fence formed part of the bear walkway. The bear enclosure is now the condor aviary.
