Hi guys! I'm heading to Edinburgh on Thursday, arriving at lunchtime and staying till Saturday. I know it's a short trip but I would like to make the most of my trip. Of course, as I'm on this site, I'll be visiting the zoo but I would also love to see some other places. So, for a wildlife...

We used to sponsor the rhino Umfulozi at Edinburgh zoo around 1980 when I was in primary 2. She had a female calf which our class got to name and Rhona was chosen. I had to hand over a cheque and appear at the naming 'ceremony' for the Edinburgh evening news at the zoo, as the class had chosen...

All Edinburghs King Penguins just come out of the water on 18/05/2007

Please excuse the poor photo- it was through wet glass. Just thought I'd post because it is an interesting exhibit- with lots of different layers.
