These enclosures were built in the 1950s and were demolished in 1996 when the condor aviary was built.
The wall at teh rear was part of the Kamchatka bear enclosure and the fence formed part of the bear walkway.
The bear enclosure is now the condor aviary.
Several cages were built in 1967 to the south of the cat house, to house the jaguars which were thought unsuitable to be housed in the main cat house. They were demolished in 1985 to make way for the Axis Deer Enclosure.
The caracal female in the African Aviaries in Copenhagen Zoo. The aviaries opened in 2004, and are some of the best of the smaller enclosures in the zoo.
