The African aviary. A good exhibit in a not so good collection!

When I visited Lotherton as a child this aviary held a large hornbill species and then on more recent visits barn owls. Nowadays it is home to a mix match of Turacos, Curassows and some ducks.

Lotherton Hall's Bird collection is mostly made up of aviaries similar to this one. Last time I visited this park the standard of exhibit was general quite low, but I was hopeful as there were lots of signs of improvement. Sadly little had changed- it had declined further and even the areas that...
