I made this thread to bust the popular “Sugar glider co-hab = bad idea” rumor, or not. It’s still an interesting idea to see if there have been any cases where a sugar glider & another mammal species roaming around in the same enclosure worked out well.
Not only just a thread but also helps zoo...
We all know the classic African exhibit where guests can see wild animals (zebras, red river hogs, giraffes, ostriches, antelopes) sharing the space with Ankole watussi, or the cheetahs having dog companions to help with stress.
What other domestic-wild mix you can think of?
Are there any zoos that have tried(and were successful)at having 2 or more different species in the same enclosure that was thought to be impossible to do? If that makes sense. Like predictor and prey, animals that would never mix in the wild, animals with different temperaments etc.
What is...
I wonder which mixed exhibits in zoo world are most diverse in terms of groups presented.
Which exhibit has most families of mammals?
Which mixed exhibits have most orders of birds?
Are there many which mix fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals in one space?
Lets not count saltwater...
I haven't seen any mixed-species enclosures where mammals are mixed with aquatic or semi-aquatic turtles, although it seems like there are some that share environments and could feasibly be housed together.
Can anyone think of examples, or is there a reason why they haven't been mixed?

I don't know if there is already a thread for this but I couldn't find any specific thread for this.
I've long been more or less fascinated by mixed wolf and bear enclosures, especially with the interaction between the 2 species and how these enclosures look.
Please post as little as possible...
This is the general view of South America Viva!, the South America exhibition at Yorkshire Wildlife Park. The enclosure ahead is home to cotton-top tamarins and six-banded armadillos.
An enclosure for a mix of African hoofstock at Yorkshire Wildlife Park, part of the Into Africa exhibition. Strangely, the only animal I remember seeing here was an emu (a remnant of Brockholes Farm which later became the zoo).
