    The pinnipeds are frequently called to the rocks for procedures like this and for training. If you're ever here, I highly recommend sticking around for a bit to catch one of these sessions. Its a great opportunity to observe their behavior and features, and can make for some fun photos!

    This is one of my zoo photos that I am the most proud of. Not normally a fan of harsh sunlight but I think it really added a lot to this. It was taken during one of the check up/training sessions that the keepers do several times a day. It makes for some awesome photo opportunities!
