This photo shows about half of Planckendael's huge elephant enclosure. This enclosure opened in 2012 and is currently home to 1.5 Asian elephants. Although the enclosure was originally intended for deer as well, now, 9 years later, still no deers have been added to the enclosure.

Karamat, the female Indian rhinoceros has been confirmed as pregnant and due at the end of this year.
If successful, would this be the first of Whipsnade's wild born females calves to reproduce?
