The latest in my line of creations, this one is situated in Island, at the rim of the Arctic circle, and thus the zoo has had to accomodate its collection to the climatic conditions. Some of the notable indoor enclosures offer a "see-through" view on the map.

Does Any one have any history of the bears at The John Ball Zoo In Grand Rapids Mi?
I have been attending the zoo for 50 years and remember the bears but can not find a history of the bears. Please help.

The polar bear exhibit in Copenhagen is part of the old bear caves. It was recently expanded a little outside of the picture, but the plan is to built a brand new enclosure for the bears sometime between 2008-2010.
