The pygmy hippo exhibit at Parken Zoo is divided into two sections, the barrier is seen to the left. This photo shows a view of the right section.

An exclusively indoor habitat for bonobos. (A.K.A. pygmy chimpanzees) The Milwaukee County Zoo has the largest population of bonobos anywhere in the world outside their native enviroment in the African rainforest.

Max and Phyllis, the Pygmy Hippos (Hexaprotodon liberiensis) at Chester Zoo in 1975. This enclosure was the outside accommodation for the hippos who also had an indoor area underneath the Nocturnal House. This site now houses the capuchin monkeys.
