I’m going on a small zoo trip for just over a week in early March, to Spain and Germany. My itinerary currently looks like this:
Saturday 2nd – Arrive in Madrid, do non-zoo things in the late afternoon/evening
Sunday 3rd – Zoo Madrid
Monday 4th – Faunia Madrid
Tuesday 5th – Fly...
From looking at images of the carnivore immersive exhibits at Bioparc Valencia, I became curious of what barriers are used to stop carnivores (notably lions and hyenas, but also others such as meerkat) from leaving their enclosure - this was unclear in the images.

I'm planning a trip to Madrid and I was wondering if anyone can point out the zoos/aquaria to go to, and any particular exhibits to look out for. The only zoo I know of is the 'Zoo Aquarium de Madrid'. Thanks
