First time revisiting the Adventure Aquarium in about a decade and oh man, seeing the stingrays for the first exhibit was a blast. These are two of the larger stingrays and I was lucky to get a photo of the two Southern stingrays.
Urobatis concentricus | In the Tropical Reef Aquarium, this is potentially one of the few, if not the only, Bullseye Round Ray in the US. Not sure about global holders since ZTL doesn't have the species on the site either. I think it's a young one since the "bullseye's" seem to darken as they age
The largest stingray of the Atlantic, these trapezoid shaped stingrays are known for their thorns on their back and tail, as well as their large size, often found in the coastal waters in the western Atlantic Ocean in the summer months.
