The newest exhibit in the Herpetatrium and in my opinion probably the best in the whole building. The species itself had been on exhibit for a while, but the exhibit is new. The space was last occupied by hybrid "hammock" rattlesnake (Crotatus adamantus x C. horridus).
Not 100% sure on the ID so if you think I'm wrong just let me know. The side angle makes it difficult to see the markings so its hard to tell for sure.
I really liked how the fern looked here. The Herpetarium can be pretty hit or miss photography-wise but I've definitely gotten some shots that make it worth trying. Also, I'm pretty sure this is the eastern subspecies, but I could be wrong so let me know if I have the wrong ID for this snake.
