So I've meant to do one of these threads for about 5 years but I always forget, this year was nearly no exception...
This probably won't mean as much to you guys as much as me, but just over ten years ago I realised I didn't have to be embarrassed about going to the zoo as an adult without children in tow. A few days after discovering I wasn't alone I decided to sign up to the very website that had shown me I wasn't as weird as I'd previously thought (Yeah, I'm still weird but not for going to zoos!
), that day was ten years ago today. 
Since joining up I've made some great friends, met some amazing people within the industry, seen some spectacular species, had a magazine article published, and learnt a hell of a lot about a variety of different aspects of the zoo industry and animal husbandry in general.
I'm not as frequent a poster as I have been in the past but I'd like to say thank you all for being part of my Zoo Enthusiast Realisation, and also the subsequent indulgence in my new hobby. I also want to thank all of those that discuss Marvel stuff with me as well, I enjoy some of the film based threads just as much as the zoo ones!
Here's to the next ten years!
