2 Sumatran tigers have died within days of each other at seperate American Zoo's. On tuesday Besar was euthenized at Miller Park Zoo in Illinois and thursday saw the loss of Tabib at Louisville Zoo.

Though I will have to check, I'm fairly sure that Besar was a descendant of two tigers held at Taronga Zoo Aust. Nico and Meta. As almost all the tigers held in this regions are Nico/Meta descendants this makes him closely related to our tigers.
