Just been looking at there recently added 2009 inventory so I thought I would give a quick anylasis for you about the hoofstock during 2009. Firstly, a male Arabian oryx arrived to join there female herd. An incrediable 16 sitatunga were born to only 15 females??? Twins?? 11 died though. 2 male Kudu arrived along with another male Anoa. An amazing 8 roan antelope were born and also 8 addax were also born. The male Bongo departed the collection along with 4 Sable antelope. Not a brilliant year for the Dama Gazelles as 4 of their herd of 8 died, They did have two arrivals though. No births or deaths with the congo buffalo and Nyala although 2 animals did leave. Male Vicuna died but 2 more females arrived. 5 Przewalski's horses were born this year and 2 out of the 6 Ankole cows died this year aswell. 3 Giraffes departed and I am sure that some of you will be able to tell me which ones. It is facinating looking at Marwell's inventories as it has "arivied" and "Departed" columns on.
