We recently passed 500,000 posts on ZooChat - quite a bit milestone.
Most webmaster communities which maintain lists of "big boards" set the minimum post count at 500,000 to be included in their list.
I will note that on ZooChat, this post count includes photos which have been uploaded - every photo has an associated post with it that contains the description of the photo.
Not every photo has a meaningful description, so one might argue that we don't really have 500,000 real posts ... but at least from a raw "how many rows are there in the 'posts' table in the database" count ... we're over 500,000.
Next goal: 500,000 actual posts (currently 347,000).
