6 tiger subspecies confirmed

Interesting, though the article linked above that reports the study's findings has a huge typographical error. It says there were 1000,000 tigers a century ago when it should say there were 100,000 tigers a century ago. The fact there is a missing comma where there should be one if they really meant one million indicates they likely meant one hundred thousand (a widely touted number) and accidentally added an extra zero.
