Monarch Butterflies are being targeted for U.S. Endangered Species protection, after a 90% decrease in population over the last two decades:

I've only seen one possible Monarch in the past five or so years, I suppose that this shouldn't surprise me. I used to find their larvae all of the time and now I never seem to. And this is in a yard that has lots of milkweed and is proud of it. Sad.
