Ayana had her calf on Monday, 9 November, after 435 days of gestation. It's a big stout male, birth weight 27 kilos...Mom and calf doing great. He's the 37th calf born at the Wild Animal Park, and the 9th male in a row (?????). We are using the imprinting technique with him...hopefully it will be as successful as it has been with Zuri.
