They have a very photogenic Tayra, loves posing when the Penguin talks are on.
Well I can give you a double positive.....................
I HAVE visited............
And I'm positive I took a positively average photo of the aforementioned Tayra.

I might even go again in couple of weeks whilst in the area. Judging by a post on their facebook page today something is happening behind the scenes.![]()
The zoo licence report mentioned that the majority of them died of exposure after being left outside last Winter with no shelter. This wasn't long after they arrived. I have no idea if they have any left or have since managed to acquire more
so the bears are now in their own enclosure, and not mixed with animals they can kill*? That is definitely a positive! The new spectacled/Andean bear enclosure is a massive improvement. Lots of shade ,climbing and enrichment opportunities. Strange to see Lemurs in there too though.
The old bear enclosure still has Tapir in there along with Maned wolves, that were very active even in the bright sunny weather, and Spider monkeys. Another bizzare combination!

*free-ranging lemurs notwithstanding.
Here's the challenge. Instead of all the negative comments on the park let's start a positive thread about the zoo. I will start...
The new African section is good and spacious for the animals.
Your turn...no negativity!
