Hi Chat

I am planning a future trips to San Diego and Omaha for their world renowned facilities.

Is it possible to see everything the San Diego Zoo and Safari Park has to offer in one day, or is it worth it to buy two day passes for each facility? Obviously, I know that Zoos typically never have 100% exhibit availability due to construction, and other circumstances so taking that out of consideration.

I am also wondering if Henry Doorly's can be done in a day too as I know they supposedly have a very high species counts

Thanks

San Diego is open for 12 hours a day during the summer and if you move at a somewhat brisk pace it can be done within that time. If you visit outside these hours you'll definitely need two days to see everything properly. While the Safari Park is much larger, it's also far more spread out and there is less to see compared to the zoo, making it very easy to do in one day by comparison.

I did Omaha in one day back in 2021 and saw everything except for the ape exhibits which were under renovation at the time. It's absolutely possible to see it all in a day, although I still ended up going back the following day to revisit some highlights.

Never been to San Diego so I can't comment there, but I have been to Omaha. Omaha can be done in one day but I recommend taking two so you don't feel as rushed.
