I'll most likely be in France for family reasons next July 2012. Our schedule will see us in Bordeaux for a few days and Lyon for a few days, both places with access to a car, and will probably take a few days to drive between the two. Other than that the only place we are likely to spend time is in Paris, and there without a car.
My interests are mostly small mammals, birds, reptiles, inverts etc, not so much your typical zoo fare. Obviously not much interest in safari parks. I'm also interested in interesting and innovative exhibits, and in interaction with animals, interesting presentations, that sort of thing.
Any advise on places worth visiting would be appreciated.
