African forest cobras are multiple species

A new genetic analysis of African forest cobras shows that what was classified as one species is likely at least five different species across the continent. Some of the potential species may be more conservation challenged than the single species was recognized as being.

Are African forest cobras widely kept in zoos? This is not a species that I recall seeing.

Africa’s biggest cobra is five species, not one, study finds

Interesting!! I know Philly has a black forest cobra. Houston might still have theirs? Dallas has quite a few cobra species, but no forest cobra.
