I went to the Aquarium of the Pacific recently and saw their Crested auklets. I was really curious to know how many were in captivity and if these were a phase out species. I emailed the aquarium and got a response shortly after.

I was at the aquarium today and was talking to a bird keeper who confirmed that their last crested auklet in captivity has passed away. He was 26 years old.
