A week ago I visited Aluxes Ecoparque in Palenque. It isn't officialy a zoo, but a center for rescued and orphaned wildlife. The park is situated in a forest section next to the road from the town to the archeological site of Palenque.

It was a very nice park, with mostly beautiful and quite large enclosures including a lake for a manatee and several islands for monkeys.
