This is a wonderful book. If any on Zoochat have not got a copy, then they are missing out on something special. It is informative, filled with superb pictures, maps and details, and beautifully designed. Certainly the best UK zoo history book (by a mile); possibly the best European zoo history book (maybe some of the wonderful Berlin books may challenge its primacy).
