The first mating of living anglerfish has been caught on tape in the wild. The female anglerfish has a wild array of bioluminescent tentacles that were also caught in action. She may use them for detection like cat whiskers.

Being a male anglerfish is a pretty easy life if you don't mind losing most of your identity eventually.

The author of the story explains:

Unlike the mantis, Mr. Anglerfish does not die as Ms. Anglerfish subsumes him into her body. His skin becomes her skin. His major organs dissolve, his fins fall off and his blood becomes her blood, until not much more is left of him than a living set of testes to make sperm at her demand.

The worst sex in the world is anglerfish sex, and now there’s finally video

That is one hell of a description. I'm trying to decide if I want to click on the video! Thanks for sharing.
