Wonder it Franklin has gone out of fennec fox and burrowing owl since they are not listed on the list provided to you.

A few corrections/updates:
  • Franklin Park does not have a Kenyan Sand Boa, it is at Stone Zoo.
  • Franklin Park recently acquired a Yellow-footed tortoise but he is not yet available for programs
  • The burrowing owl at Franklin Park was transferred to another facility in 2023
  • Franklin does have two Fennec foxes but they are not available for programs at this time

The Kenyan Sand Boa is at the Tropical Forest right? I got this sourced from Franklin Park Zoo so they might have made changes that aren't well known

Is Arial the fox ok? or is something else going on? Will the fox be the exhibit attached to penguin for small animal?

Unfortunately, Ariel passed away in 2022. The 2 current foxes are new animals. They will not be in the exhibit next to penguin. I suspect that may be where they place the porcupines once they come back, but there hasn't been any information provided about those plans just yet.

oh-em-gee! she was so cute without her tail. thank you for sharing.
I don't quite understand how the african experience ended up with a small penguin exhibit and a new entrance, offices and gift shop as well as new fencing for crossing. quite a bit of coin 19 million dollars. we’ll see how that fares with all the federal budget cuts.
