Animal Courses

Hi

I wondered if anyone has any advice or info on distance learning courses that relate to animals (companion, farm, zoo - I'm not picky). I am interested in most areas such as care / heaalth / behaviour. Or wouldn't mind doing something general like zoology or marine biology.

I have been trying to find a distance learning course above diploma level but not as time consuming as degree level.

Any ideas? Would much appreciate info from people who are doing or have done the courses.:)

Hmm... Well, I'm looking at a mix of the vocational and academic. Though I will be attending sixth form at an academic college (studying Biology and Environmental Studies as two of my courses), I'm looking at doing the Foundation Degree in Animal Management and Applied Science at Sparsholt (renowned for it's AM department) after my A-Levels, which is delivered in four week-long blocks per year for two years, allowing you to do work that's relevant to the course and other things like travelling in between. With that complete, I will be looking at studying Zoology at degree level.

While that's my hopefull outlook, your's will probably be very different. If you don't want to to do degree level, then I'd recommend a BSc Honours at Animal Management, though it's recommended if you want to do zoology.
