I received my copy of the Annual Report a week ago. It has not yet appeared on the zoo website so here are the animal lists.
I saw that 4 male Cacatua haematuropygia died. Do you know maybe the background of these deaths?
I was hoping they'd reveal the sex of the Sumatran Tiger cub that was born last June to Kirana and Fabi. I didn't think they would anyway![]()
They have - look in the DNS30 column, there is a listing for a female cub. As this survey is accurate only up to the end of December 2011, and the more recent death was in January 2012 and was a cub which had survived past 30 days, this listing must be for the June cub.
Although unsuccessful, is this the first occasion the Tuataras have reproduced?
? They list 0.1.1 so they have not revealed the sex of one of the cubs.
I believe it is.
At the end of the year they list 1.4.0 - this means the end of year count includes all three of the newer batch of cubs. Therefore the 0.1.1 would imply that there was another cub born which was never reported, and the sex of which never determined.
Thanks Rob - I don't get a copy of the annual report with my membership for some reason so will be chasing it up when I get the time to phone/email.
This info is everything I wanted from it anyway![]()
Indeed, unless one opts out, which can be reversed by calling the Members and Adoptions Office. There will be a copy on-line soon. All members should get one.

I seem to remember filling in a form a couple of years ago to say that I still wanted to received a printed copy of the report. I suspect they recorded this on their membership database and only post them out to those who did so (should be easy enough to change your preference though).
Which suggests those who have become members since don't get the option, as I certainly never filled in such a form when I became a member last year.
