This is sort of just going off the last thread I made about the leopards at gorge, (context for those new who are interested: saw a black leopard at gorge a few years back named Bagheera, he passed away, and I’ve been trying to find out everything I can about his family now etc.) not sure if this is really within anyone’s expertise here but there is a black leopard on display at the sa museum, it’s been there for quite some time and it crossed my mind the other day; what if that leopard is one of Bagheera’s relatives? I know a lot of the peices there came from animals at Adelaide zoo, as far as I’m aware there has never been any black leopards there so it’d make a lot of sense if it came from gorge/whyalla. Unfortunately, I can’t figure out how to add pictures on here but I’ll paste a link to a video showing it (1:38) https://youtube.com/shorts/4oHwTjH3Obo?si=eALScOl0YY9bvXH7 there is nothing saying where the peices came from either. I’m assuming the leopard is female as it looks rather small.

Contact the museum, they keep excellent records on their collections and will be able to tell you. They see answering public enquiries as part of their roll, so will be happy to oblige.
