After completing massively long road trips in 2010, 2011 and 2012 I now have a grand total of 132 different zoo maps for anyone who is interested. I'd love to trade my package of maps to someone in Europe and a straight swap would be perfect. I also have copies of many other zoo maps and I could probably put another package together of around 75 maps if anyone wishes to trade.

I would be keen to swap some NZ zoo maps and guides for some from the states/Canada. But there aren't many NZ zoos with maps, although I could send some brochures as well.

I may have a couple of spare copies of European zoo maps too.

It has been a month since I began this thread on ZooChat and during that time I have sorted through and categorized all of my hundreds of maps from across the globe. I also sent off 7 different packages: 2 to U.S.A. destinations, 2 to England, 1 to France, 1 to Poland and 1 to New Zealand. I am now eagerly awaiting the arrival of many packages in return! I have found that in the past ZooChatters are honest individuals who always can be counted upon, even if they sometimes take a year or two to complete their duties.:)

Anyway, I have had so many copies of maps from my various road trips and I would often grab a whole stack of maps on each visit. If anyone is interested I still have a collection of 58 zoo maps that I could send off to someone, as well as a couple more minor packages of around 25 maps each. Please send me a private message if you are eager to trade.

snowleopard, what zoo has your favorite zoo map and what makes it special?

I really enjoy the maps that are extremely specific, and the style found on the Minnesota Zoo, San Francisco Zoo and Denver Zoo maps is excellent and very detailed as I believe they are all the same company. Also, the San Diego trio (zoo, safari park, SeaWorld) are quite large and have many many impressive animal drawings. The worst maps are the ones that show a particular loop or trail within a zoo and have a single animal shown when in reality there are many more species in the area (I'm thinking of Santa Barbara and others).
